Welcome on the ham-site from Nick Brok, PE1GOO.
When I'm not writing because my Muse left me, I'm a radioactive ham-operator.
![]() This is me. | ![]() The VHF and UHF antenna I'm using; a Diamond X200. |
![]() This is my Yaesu 7800 VHF/UHF transceiver. | ![]() My BITX17 (up) and BITX20 (down) with a new SWR meter. |
My projects.
BITX20
The BITX20 is my first home-build HF 20 meterband SSB transceiver.
In the meanwhile I make very nice QSO's with it.

BITX17
Because my HOBO has some strange problems, I build a modified BITX20, called the BITX17. The first stations I heard where using CW.
On monday february the nineth I made my very first QSO with this RIG! Unfortunately was it at our radioclub Esrac (TU/e) and not at my home-location. The QSO I made was with WD8CCC at 13.55 GMT!
The station was suprised by the prestation of this bitx17 and gave me a R5 S7, But I must admit: the step-ir did his job also!
